Women’s empowerment has become a significant topic of discussion in development and economy. When a woman has economic empowerment, it is a way for them to achieve more self-respect and confidence by their contributions to their Communities. Simply including women as a part of a community can have a sweeping positive effects. Studies have shown that when women are empowered, the society benefits. Their families are healthier, more children go to school, agricultural productivity improves, income increases, population increase is controlled and reduction in child and maternal mortality is achieved. In short, communities become more resilient. In same vein, children form the nucleus of the extended society. When you train a child, you train a nation.
WHO WE ARE
Golden Charity International Initiative (GCII) is a registered Non- Governmental and not for profit organization committed to the total wellbeing of children and enhancement of women in Nigeria. The organization promotes Women’s Human Rights, Child Education, Gender Equality, Women Empowerment and Health, geared toward the attainment of Equality, Peace and Development.
Golden Charity International Initiative (GCII) is also committed to education, motivating and inspiring grassroots Girls and Young Women with vocational, entrepreneurial, leadership and managerial skills which empowers them with the knowledge and courage necessary to break free from the chains of limiting belief patterns and societal/religious barriers that have traditionally kept women suppressed and unable to see true potentials.
